About a visual art retrospective of Marcelo Rodriguez on painting and drawing  2011-2015 plus the update of the most recent works.

By Indra Gavenaite.

Marcelo Rodriguez is  Bolivian London based artist,

His works are influenced by both  South American and European modernist art.

As colorful and dynamic as Bolivian textiles; there is wicked characters dissolving over layers and flows of bright colors.

This characters are rather mythological, this creatures represent entangled worlds of legends and fantasy

Diferent kind of shapes and perspectives and also some times some hidden scenes. There is an inter-textuallity that brings the whole think into live like a collection of worlds that really exist with us.
